Bheja(Brain) Fry Week

The week gone by is not very clear in my bheja(brain!). Why?
Because my mind was occupied by the module test(MT) at NIIT.
I scored 74% in the test(vb.net, xml, data commmunication and networking,OOAD).
Not a great score, but satisfying, considering that, I am juggling college with NIIT, and trying to be regular at both places, not forgetting, my voices(my college campus newspaper) and blog work.
This brings to my mind the thing, I had completely forgotten to mention. In the all India National IT Aptitude Test 2005, among 36955 I ranked 8401, putting me on their merit list, I was placed in top 24% of all participants.
How will it help? I don't care!!!!!
Well I remember the day, when I was told that I have the MT on 15th July, being a planner, I quickly planned out my study schedule.
This time I expected things to be tough for me.
The reason being, I had recieved the xml courseware a bit late, so I was on the backfoot from the start, and had to study topics like:data commmunication and networking,OOAD from a CD .
Then it struck me that 15th july was not only my dad's birthday, but also had pooja at my house.
Damn! upon that I had submit the ERD of my project. The details of that stressfull week have already drowned in this weeks events and happiness of making arsenal EPL champs(in the game Championship Manager 03-04)
So the day dawned(day??had test @7:30pm), when I reached NIIT, I found out, that the test had been postponed to next friday(22nd).
Well, it was a shock, but I was really happy and relieved, as it gave me some time to cover up the stuff I had missed out.
So I came home, all my dad's friends were leaving.
After going through the niceties, I settled on the sofa picked up the remote, started surfing through the channels and settled on Star One, they had The Great Indian Laughter challenge. Then my dad told me, that some reshma(fellow reporter of voices) and Mrs. Meenakshi Rajan(editor-in-chief of voices) had called up. After calling them, I was asked whether, tomorrow I would like to go as audience for the NDTV show 'The Big Fight'. I agreed, having nothing much to do. I was told to be in voices news room, at 10:00.
Then had a good quantity of biryani and slept.
The next day:
I put on a formal shirt and trouser(not done since long time), reached the destination on time, but it cost me 32 bucks. In the Voices news room, reshma, was shocked to see me come on time, later I found out that she had told me to come at 10, as she thought, I wasn't punctual, well !@#$%, thanks a lot. Then, the other two guys and two girls showed up after a hour or so, till then I was just sitting there, listening to reshma and her bullshit and trying not to fall asleep(I slept only for four hours). Then Mrs. Rajan showed up, when I found out the topic of debate at the show, I got to know what kind of crap I was getting into, but being a man of my words(there are always exceptions), I didn't say no.
I don't even remember the names of the five people I was supposed to go with(I am bad at remembering names), wait, one girl was richa while the other was mugdha.
The show was to be shot at some place in worli(for those who dont know, my college is in vidyavihar/ghatkopar).
We reached there in about 20-25 minutes(maybe), the ride wasn't much to write about.
Had trouble finding the studio building, but found it anways.
Anushka, the girl who was our contact over there, was waiting for us outside.
Well she was young, not a bombshell, but not that bad looking, she was in her capris and a short Tee(the ones that let you show off your waist). You must be thinking why didn't I make stupid comments about the two girls.
Well, they may not be in my class, but they are from my college, and I don't want to get into kind of mess, damn! what if they have some 'bouncer build' boy friends, then my blog would see details about my stay in ICU.
Acting like a busy person with her handsfree phone, anushka excorted us inside their studio, outside they had to camera vehicles, designed by DC(shame if you are car enthu. and don't know what DC means).
On the left they had a room with the sign ' On Air', I thought that is where we would go, but instead we were escorted to this room besides the make up room, it was cramped room, more like a store room, than anything else.
A few guys and girls had already assembled.
Now starts the part where after every minute or so, all I could think was about swear words.(which is not right, as I am bit humble while using swear words.)
There were 2 guys and 3 girls, they had reached early and in the spare time had listed out some points.
hey I forget to tell you what the stupid topic of the debate was, it was Which city is better Mumbai/Delhi, damn!!!what a question,,,
First of all, I live in the suburbs i.e.outside Mumbai city limits
secondly I hate both the cities.
but like I said, I had to be at this show, so I sat there, I even had a look at the points listed out,
There were 2 cams in front of me, spot lights beating on me from all directions, Anushka was busy taking instructions on her cell.
Soon enough anushka cleared up all my confusion,
this is how the show worked,
in the NDTV delhi studio, 5 experts sat and debated on the issue, then when it was time for delhi audience comments,
people like us, assembled in delhi, were questioned, and we were queried, when it was time to praise mumbai,
the problem was that, the experts and the comperer could see n hear us, but we could only hear some commotion going, as these experts were a bit too vocal in voicing there opinions.
Anushka said something like:"hey guys be lively"
I sat there cursing, chewing happydent and waiting for the show to get over, so I could throw the gum.
Well, only 4 of us could laud mumbai, and before I could think of anything to lie about mumbai, they finished the shoot. What a relief, we waited in their lobby, we didn't expect them to feed us something, but the bloody beggars didn't even ask for water, the journey back to college wasn't eventfull enough or maybe my memory is fooling me,
anyway I reached college had my tiffin(yesterday's left over biryani), went for the lecture, told aarti ma'am(our H.O.D.) about the show, she said it doesn't matter, her lecture was over,
